At Monmouth Academy, we offer Performing Arts, Music, and Fine Arts to all grades.
In Performing Arts, students learn to appreciate music through expression of musical concepts, voice, and movement. They explore, express, and reflect their thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and imagination in individual and group activities. Students perform plays throughout the year.
In Music, students learn to listen and appreciate the form and substance of music, studying classical music, jazz, and folk music. Many students study voice, piano, or a band instrument during the school day. The children perform individually and in ensembles.
Monmouth Academy is pleased to have an "Artist in Residence" program. This program is taught by a working artist with a background in fine arts and design. The classes consist of drawing, painting, and sculpture. Each class is tailored to the age level of the students. Students' works are exhibited in the art studio, hallways, and at the annual Fine Arts Night.
